It’s chic, it’s trendy, and it’s FnkAsia, an answer to the stylish young woman’s prêt-wear needs Huma Adnan; the mind behind the ready-to-wear brand looks into indigenous crafts of the Sub-continental region.
FnkAsia presented contemporary trends that modern women can relate to. ‘Cocktail Collection’ was her vision for Spring/Summer 2010 eveningwear. She has slashed the length and volume that has been looming large for the past two years making FnkAsia in sync with Paris and New York.
Her brand has got a new structured look, The collection at the Fashion Pakistan Week 2, day 5, expertly blended a variety of lightweight luxury fabrics, designed on simple structured tunics. There was no embroidery and Adnan has created drama through excessive patchwork and appliqué. The composition incorporated a beautiful patchwork of prints, symbolic of a cocktail that actually transported different ingredients together for a stronger flavor. This was fusion at its very best and is ‘: simultaneously reflected of the true flavor of Pakistan – a country influenced by so many different elements that yearn to come together in harmony. This was the optimism that is so vividly reflected in the exquisite ‘Cocktail Collection".
