Aisha Alam, a promising Karachi-based designer, has been creating waves with her elegant and minimal sense of style. Her latest collection is based on the use of pastel colored chiffons and silks, put together in complimenting and contrasting ways.
The rave reviews her collection was receiving all across the country inspired the newest multi-brand store, Fashion Avenue, to get in touch with her. Fashion Avenue is located in Vogue Towers is the creation of a true entrepreneur who is eager to make a difference by providing carefully selected and sought after designers.

The Fashion Fair event is the inaugural event of Fashion Avenue, which is already being talked about and discussed as the multi-brand store to watch in Lahore. The new collection put forth by Aisha Alam is based on prêt and semi formals and is a diversion from her last one, and is inspired by a desire to provide women with trendy and hi-fashion clothing at affordable prices.
“My clothes work both for the daytime and the early evening! The outfits I make are perfect for picking up kids from the school, attending a lunch with friends and can even be dressed up for evening functions.” says the exuberant designer, who began her career at Gul Ahmed. “I believe in minimal but effective designs.”
She has used chiffons, silks and linens and minimal embellishments for this particular collection that will be showcased at the event. This collection is adorned with minimal embellishments and is based on clean cuts and uniqueness. “I enjoy working with pastel-colors and a vibrant color palette, and use refreshing and exciting colors to create chic and trendy outfits,” said the rising star of prêt wear.
The designer is extremely happy to participate in the event and is looking forward to the respose from the people of Lahore. Her latest collection is getting an overwhelming response from other cities of Pakistan and the stock has to be replaced frequently since the pieces are “selling like hot cakes”, according to the sales people of different stores.
