Second Skin, a clothing line based on semi-formal and formal designs, recently launched at Object’s flagship store at Park Towers. While Object is essentially a store for home accessories and furniture, it has recently started branching out into clothes but this is the first time the store has launched their own fashion label.
“Second Skin caters to evolution,” says Adil Sartaj, CEO of Object who is also the head designer behind Second Skin. “This line caters to modern, fashion forward women who are interested in making a simple but elegant statement through their wardrobes.”
The launch of Second Skin at Object was extremely successful with women rushing in droves to pick up a Rs. 1,800 kurti or a simple pleated chiffon outfit or a poncho to be worn over a t shirt. The idea behind Second Skin is simple: to provide simple, elegant and affordable clothes to working women.
“Our aesthetic and feel is very European and these clothes appeal to young women and girls who want convenient, hassle free and elegant dressing,” said Adil Sartaj.
Second Skin is based on a vibrant and bold color palette, ranging from yellows to oranges, blues and reds. Second Skin was recently introduced at Object through a fun-filled event intended to break conventional shackles surrounding the fashion industry. Second Skin is based on the idea of a clothing line which allows masses to own fashion.
Second Skin begins at Rs. 1900, with screen printed tunics manufactured in Thailand. In his efforts he is supported by his wife, who is co-designer of this brand.
