Eid-ul-Fitr is an Islamic festival which falls on the first day of Shawwal, the month which follows Ramadan in the Islamic calendar. On the first of Shawwal all Muslims throughout the world, celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with great joy. Eid-ul-Fitr is the time to share happiness with others and say thanks to Almighty Allah for all the blessings you have. 

Kids are most excited about Eid-ul-Fitr. Usually parents are too much busy on the Eid days and thus ignore their kids. Kids indulge themselves in non Islamic celebrations. At that time, it is the responsibility of parents to guide your children about Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations. Teach your kids the true Islamic spirits of Eid celebrations.

As Eid-ul-Fitr is our religious festival so guide your kids the true Islamic spirits of Eid celebrations. For the other nations, holiday is a chance to immerse in worldly pleasure but for the Muslims, Eid is an occasion to increase the good deeds by bringing happiness to the poor. Guide your children to help and support the poor and needy so that they can also celebrate the Eid with happiness.  As an obligatory act of charity, money is paid to the poor and needy before Eid Prayer. You can also involve them in such activities by getting them into past times that laid great stress on strong Islamic character.

Parents are role model for the kids. They imitate their parents so it is obligatory for the parents to follow Islamic teachings. Remember, being a parent you are a guide for your kids. It is your duty to take your kids to “Eid Gah” to show the rich and complete Islamic tradition. It will help you in making a strong relationship with your kid in the light of Islamic teachings. This is a day when Muslims around the world try to show the goal of Unity. Soon after Eid prayer, people greet each other “Eid Mubarak”.  This will create a sense of brotherhood in your kid. Also teach your kid to say “Takbeer” loudly while leaving home for Eid prayer. It is Sunnah to say Takbeer loudly when leave home for Eid prayer.

In addition, Eid is only joyful when your family members and friends are close to you on Eid day. Teach your kid that forgets all the tensions and differences that might have existing in their relationship on Eid day.   Celebrate Eid with your loved ones and make this festival even more special.

Teach your kids about the Sunnah of the Eid. Tell him about the reason for celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr. Sunnah of Eid includes: wake up early, prepare for personal cleanliness, take a bath after Fajr Prayer, dress yourself in the best clothes you have, use perfume, take breakfast before going to Eid prayer, pay “zakaat-al-Fitr” before Eid prayer, go to prayer ground early and sue two different routes to and from the Eid Gah. Say Takbeer loudly when go to Eid Gah. Follow the Sunnah yourself and also teach this Sunnah to your kids.
