The coveted House of Sania Maskatiya participated in their debut invitational show in Mumbai, India at the much coveted Lakmé Fashion Week W/F platform 2014 which held on Wednesday 20th August 2014. At the fashion event, Sania Maskatiya exhibited a new collection titled ‘Sakura’ inspired by popular Japanese culture and symbolism which endeavours to represent both the beauty and fragility of life. Sania Maskatiya’s participation at Lakmé Fashion Week W/F platform 2014 was facilitated by POPxo(dot)com in association with Hello! Pakistan.
Sania Maskatiya showcased an array of bespoke mixed prints and hand embroideries across a diversity of textures in cuts and patterns that are quintessentially Sania Maskatiya. ‘Sakura’ draws from the grace of the cherry blossom, the stark romance of the Japanese landscape, tea houses, turtles and treasure chests, all finding their way onto the brand’s design canvas. For Sania Maskatiya’s showcase, jewellery was provided by Kiran Aman of Kiran Fine Jewellery.
The collection featured ‘Esoteric and Nau’ an intricate part of the brand’s ‘So KFJ’ line, known for its classic signature style with textured and beaten gold in 22-23K gold.
