Mohsin’s Collection at PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week Karachi 2010

Next on the Karachi runway was the Lahore based emerging designer “Mohsin” with his Prêt-à-porter womenswear collection called “Paivandi”. Mohsin took inspiration from hybridity, which is now a common phenomenon. The collection featured a diversity of fabrics such as leather, velvet, chiffons and silk. Talking about the collection the designer said “Fashion is for all and is not only to beautify but also to serve some purpose”

Mohsin has a degree in Fashion Design from the Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design (PIFD) and was the winner of the Bronze Award at the PIFD 2010 batch graduation show. He was selected by the Council to showcase his designs at the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week. Mohsin has had two years experience working as a menswear designer with Republic by Omar Farooq. He also designed the head gears for Nickie Nina’s collection at the debut PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week in February 2010.
