Shaan-e-Pakistan launches with Ek Shaam Dosti Kay Naam in Lahore

With the success of its first edition in New Delhi in September 2015, Shaan-e-Pakistan returned with more exhibitors and partners, this time in Lahore from the 20th till 22nd of March. Presented by LUX; Shaan-e-Pakistan’s second installment, Kya Dilli, Kya Lahore kicked off with a musical night comprising of Indian and Pakistani artists including Sounds of Kolachi, Coke studio sensations Mai Dhai and Asrar, Indian band Shivam and one of  Bollywood’s most accomplished singers, Rekha Bhardwaj (Kabira, Namak, Tere Ishq Mein).

The musical evening Ek Shaam Dosti Kay Naam is to be followed by a full day fashion and lifestyle exhibition and eventually will conclude with a fashion show on the third day showcasing a mix of designers from both countries.

The evening was attended by legendary Bollywood actress Zeenat Aman, Pakistani music sensations Atif Aslam, Ali Sethi, Fariha Pervaiz, Hadiqa Kiani, Nauman Javed, Mustafa Zahid, Shiraz Uppal, Amanat Ali, Nabeel Shaukat Ali, Junaid Khan and producer Saad Sultan.  Indeed Shaan-e-Pakistan’s Indian culinary chef Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, celebrated singer Rekha Bhardvaj (Kabira, Namak, Tere Ishq Mein) and legendary Bollywood actress Zeenat Aman will be representing the Indian delegates at all three days of the event.

An event breakdown is as follows:

Day 1 (Sunday 20th March 2016) hosted a musical & culinary evening ‘Eik Shaam Dosti Kay Naam’ hosted by VJ Andy from India and Anoushey Ashraf from Pakistan and featured musical performances by artists Rekha Bhardvaj and Shivam band from India and Asrar, Mai Dhai and Sounds of Kolachi from Pakistan.

Day 2 (Monday 21st March 2016) will feature a full-day exhibition consisting of more than 30 retailers/craftsman from India & Pakistan with retailers and brands like Amina Sultan, Anand Khanna, BeechTree, Chapter 13, Elisha Wadhwani, Healiv, Jooti Shooti, Lace Up, Lucknow Sey, Milli Shoes, Mina Siddique, Nine Lines, Prisms and Paintbrushes, Sonia Ahuja, Sonrissa, Stratford Street, Susheel Jewellers, Womaniya Collection to name a few.

Day 3 (Tuesday 22nd March 2016) will serve as a continuation of the Exhibition till 5:00 pm followed up by a celebratory fashion showcase of 16 designers from across the fashion tiers of Pakistan, India and Bangladesh including Ahmed Bilal, Aisha Imran, Barae Khanom, Bibi Russell, Braahtii by Huma Nassr, Zainab Chottani, Amir Adnan, Cara Collection, Joy Mitra, Jyoti Sachdev Iyer, Mehdi Designs, Republic Women’s Wear, Samanth Chauhan, Studio by AV, Style D’Elegance and Zubia Motiwalla amongst others.

Musical evening Ek Shaam Dosti Kay Naam is to be followed by a full day fashion and lifestyle exhibition.
