Fashion designer Sania Maskatiya proudly launched her eponymous debut store in Karachi. This flagship outlet stocks all Sania Maskatiya lines, from her prêt a porter line including her popular block prints, embroideries and every day kurtas along with evening couture and formal wear.
Among a diversity of people resent at the launch were designers Umar Sayeed, Shehla Chatoor and Adnan Pardesy; media personalities Ayesha Tammy Haq and Maira Khan; stylist Bina Khan; Zahir Rahimtoola of Labels; Shezray Husain of Ensemble; Fareshteh Aslam Brands & External Communications Unilever; filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy; Shehnaz Ismail and Jewellery designer Shehrezade Rahimtoola.
Speaking on the inauguration of the store Sania said that: “The opening of the store has turned my long awaited dream into a reality. Having taken the plunge and gone solo with the launch of my own label in 2010, I felt opening a stand alone store was an important and exciting move towards broader fashion endeavors for myself and my label. Indeed I have always sought to create fashion which complements a diversity of women and to cater to a wider variety of tastes and to this end I hope that our store is successful in addressing this broader spectrum of taste while always retaining our signature emphasis on cut”
The Interior of the flagship store was designed by Fatima Salahuddin and the event was managed by Samirah Ghani. In addition to her flagship outlet, Sania Maskatiya is currently available in Pakistan at multi brand boutiques Ensemble and Labels and in Dubai at multi brand boutique Soirée.
