NCA Celebration For Deutsche Bank Artist Imran Qureshi

The National College of Arts (NCA), organized a commemorative event in celebration of Deutsche Bank’s ‘Artist of the Year 2013’ award presented to the Lahore based artist Imran Qureshi by Deutsche Bank in Berlin last year.

A series of events was hosted by National College of Arts to celebrate this award, which also included an installation by Imran Qureshi entitled ‘…And they still seek the traces of Blood’, which was featured at Zahoor ul Akhlaque Gallery at NCA. At the celebration, an introduction to Imran Qureshi’s Art was given by Director of Gandhara Art – Hong Kong, Amna Naqvi, a note on Imran Qureshi by Prof. Dr. Shabnam Khan, principal at National College of Arts.

Faizan Mitha, Chief Country Officer for Deutsche Bank in Pakistan also presented a statement and a video message by Christofer Habig, Chief Country Officer for Deutsche Bank in Pakistan, a video message by Christofer Habig, Deutsche Bank’s Global Head of Group Brand Communications & Corporate Citizenship and Friedhelm Heutte, Director Global Head of Art, Deutsche Bank.

Ambassador of Germany to Pakistan Dr. Cyrill Nunn addressed to attendees during this award celebration at NCA followed by screening of a short film entitled ‘Artist of the Year’ directed by Shah Zaman Baloch.

NCA student Salman Hunzai presented a unique performance at the Sculpture Courtyard and a play ‘My Hour’, conceived and directed by Imran Qureshi and co-written by Muhammad Attique and Imran Qureshi was also performed.

Public Relations for the NCA celebration for Deutsche Bank Artist Imran Qureshi was handled by Lotus.
