The calendar, which is the first ever celebrity calendar of Pakistan, was eagerly being awaited since a while now and when it was finally unveiled at the event, it proved to be a visual treat for guests who fervently praised the imagery featured in it. People from all fields came and added color to the event.
Emaad Irfani, who has previously also been seen in the Lux TV commercial, has been featured in the calendar along with supermodel Rabia Butt, both placed in a modern city setting. Actors Mehwish Hyatt and Fahad Mustafa on the other hand, are seen placed in a more romantic setting.
What is common in both settings however, is the touch of class and sophistication which has been captured in a truly beautiful manner by ace photographers Guddu and Shaani. Renowned fashion designer Kamiar Rokni designed clothes exclusively for this shoot and they were truly a class apart from the usual designer wear.
Pictures featured in the calendar, were also displayed in the form of an art gallery at the event. There was an exclusive live photo booth where pictures were taken of all guests and then developed and framed to be gifted to them, serving as a souvenir to remind them of the glamorous night they attended.
Management of the event was handled by J&S which made sure that it would be a night to remember, right down from the décor to the food. The ambience of the event was created by inspiration taken from the calendar photo shoot itself and thus had a very baroque romantic feel to it. The live orchestra also added a unique touch.
After guests had viewed the Photo Gallery, Lux officials, along with Kamiar Rokni, Emaad Irfani, Mehwish Hyatt and Lux Brand Manager Enshè Ahmed Manto, addressed the audience.
Speaking to media specifically, Enshè said “The basic point of the calendar is to add a touch of glamour to life. For this calendar, we used stars from both the TV and fashion industries, as we believe these are two of the biggest industries which cannot be ignored. The fragrance value of Lux has been visualized through these pictures. The pictures show the Lux world where the Lux woman looks beautiful and stands out in even the most ordinary setting.”
Mehwish Hyatt then spoke to the audience and explained that she shares great chemistry with Fahad and had a lot of fun shooting for this calendar. She specially mentioned Guddu Shani who she felt have done a brilliant job in capturing the essence of the theme. Emaad Irfani, expressed his gratefulness to Lux for choosing to work with him the second time around.
“Being featured in a Lux campaign for the second time, I can officially call myself the Lux boy. Working for Lux means that you are one of the most prominent faces in Pakistan.” Kamiar Rokni then mentioned that it was a lovely experience for him working on the calendar. “Lux required a certain look which represented their brand image and I really hope I managed to achieve that.”
Later, Lux Brand Manager Enshè also said “Lux’s aim is always to add a touch of glamour and beauty to its consumer’s life and we hope this collectible will inspire our consumers all year round.”
Some of the celebrities spotted at the event included HSY, Khawar Riaz, Mehwish Hayat, Emaad Irfani, Kamiar Rokni, Fahad Hussayn, Yousaf Salahuddin, Babloo, Kuki, Amanat Ali, Nooray Bhatty, Mohsin Ali, Rana Noman, Kanwal Ilyas, Xile Huma, Sidra Iman, Natasha Saigol and Goher Mumtaz. As it was a grand launch, all celebrities were dressed up for the night. Amanat Ali, who was styled by Kuki, along with Seher Latif who was styled by Rana Noman stole some of the limelight. Lux unveiled the first ever celebrity calendar of Pakistan amidst some of the biggest celebrities of Pakistan at the Lahore Grande, with a lavish and star-studded launch.
