Former Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram has seriously taken the wedding rumors with Bollywood beauty Sushmeta Sen and had finally called them to end before media.
The rumors of Wasim Akram and Sushmeta Sen wedding sparked after they judged 2008 Indian dance show “Aik Khilari, Aik Haseena” altogether and once again after the death of Wasim Akram’s wife, Huma in October 2009.
“I am tired of denying such rumors and now I want this to end once and for all,” said Wasim Akram when Indian media claimed that the couple was about to tie the knot in Mumbai.
Pakistani media also splashed the story calling it another high-profile cross-border marriage after Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik marrying Indian tennis player Sania Mirza.
According to Wasim Akram, he and Sushmeta Sen are good friends only. “She is one of the most graceful and decent ladies I have come across. It was huge fun working as judge with Sushmita as she is a thorough professional and presents herself gracefully”, he added.
He also said that he has two sons, Taimur and Akbar and is devoted to their upbringing and Sushmeta Sen has two adopted daughters and has yet to marry. Therefore, their personal lives should be respected by both media and fans.
