Mumbai police have uncovered a scuffle between Indian businessman Raj Kandra and his wife actress Shilpa Shetty, arrested in a pornography case, during a police raid.
Raj Kandra, the husband of Indian businessman, producer, and actress Shilpa Shetty, was arrested by the Mumbai Police Crime Branch on the night of July 19 on charges of making pornographic films and uploading them on a mobile app. He was brought home for the first time on Friday, July 23, four days after his arrest.
The Mumbai Police Crime Branch raided their residence in the Joho area of Raj and Shilpa, during which authorities questioned Shilpa Shetty for six hours. According to Indian media reports, Shilpa Shetty had broken up after being arrested in a case of her husband's pornographic films. There was a fight between Shilpa Shetty and her husband when the Mumbai Police Crime Branch raided Raj Kandra's house.
Shilpa Shetty was so upset by her husband's actions that she started running at him until the team had to intervene to calm him down. According to Mumbai Police sources, Shilpa Shetty could not control her emotions in front of the authorities and lost her temper. According to reports, she was heard shouting at her husband, "We have everything, so why did you need to do all this?"
Mumbai Police also claimed that Shilpa Shetty had further told Raj Kandra that her family's reputation had been tarnished, she had to wash her hands of many projects and her family had to bear the financial loss. Apart from this, Shilpa Shetty, despite having a place in society, also asked her husband the reason for his alleged actions.
On the other hand, during the interrogation, the police did not find any evidence of involvement in the case of Shilpa Shetty's pornographic films. The actress was questioned twice by the police, once at the police station and another time at her residence in Joho.
Officials also say Raj Kendra is not cooperating with the police in the investigation. He has also challenged his arrest in the Bombay High Court. Nine people, including Ryan Thorpe, a close associate of Raj Kandra, are in police custody in the case.
