Salman Ahmed, the founder of Pakistani rock band ‘Junoon’ has composed and recorded a special song ‘Open your Eyes’ for Pakistan Flood relief in collaboration with British Rock band ‘Genesis’.
The founder of ‘Genesis’ Peter Gabriel has also previously collaborated with Qawwali mogul, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Another artist to join hand in this humanitarian effort is American singer, Alison Sudol, who was also nominated for a Granny award for best upcoming artist.
‘Open your Eyes’ will launch on November 2 and you can download it from digital music sites globally. Each dollar for download will go to Pakistan flood relief through the charity organization ‘Salman and Samina Global Wellness initiative’ of Salman and his wife Dr. Samina. Besides, Samina has also provided special background vocals for ‘Open Your Eyes’.
