Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Receives Green Signal To Visit India

The well-known singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is now cleared of all charges in India. A nephew of Pakistani singing legend Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Rahat is a top Bollywood playback singer and has several hit numbers to his credit.

He won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer. It was really an embracing situation when the singer was detained at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport with undeclared currency worth US $ 124,000, or over Rs. 60 lakh.

As per one report his lawyer in India has given him green signal for a safe visit to India without any interrogation. Rahat was facing numerous charges in India; and the most important one was violation of Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s arrest news was indeed a bad news for his fans when they heard about his absence. Now, the singer can visit India whenever he wants. He has not visited India for a long time; in the meanwhile, the great singer has recorded soundtracks of many dramas.

It was reported that India charged popular Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan with currency violations act at New Delhi’s airport. He can have a deep breath now as got free from all the charges.
