Pakistani movie “WAAR” is set to hit the screen on 6th September 2013

The plot of movie has been inspired by the war on terror in Pakistan and its effects on the world, but with a stylized interpretation. Rana has penned a script that finds a new and refreshing angle to explore war and terrorism.
 
Lashari also worked as assistant director for Shoaib Mansoor during the filming of Khuda Kay Liye. Waar (to strike) is an action/thriller and drama film. This English-language film has been shot at various locations in and outside of Pakistan, from Lahore, to the beautiful hills of Islamabad and the breathtaking Swat Valley, where a major military operation was launched two years ago. Some parts of the film have also been shot in Istanbul, Turkey.
 
With some crew and technical support from Hollywood, this is definitely going to be a huge release in the region
 
Bilal Lashari has directed some spectacular music videos for Atif Aslam, Jal and Mekaal Hasan Band entered into the film making amphitheater with an even iconic cast of the movie. It includes Shaan Shahid, Shamoon Abbasi, Ayesha Khan, Meesha Shafi, Ali Azmat and many others.
 
Pakistani film industry has been facing a vile phase as the industry is fundamentally dead. Now young, talented Bilal Lashari expected to make it big with his Waar.
 
Waar, whose first look promo was been  released about 2 years back, had to face a lot of difficulties in its post-production phases resulted in numerous delays in the release . This effort of Bilal Lashari would be a rebirth of Pakistani cinema.
 
So finally the wait is almost over. One of the most foreseen movies in the history of Pakistani cinema is going to hit the theatres very soon.

Waar is an English-language Pakistani action film directed by Bilal Lashari. It is written and produced by Hassan Waqas Rana. The story of the movie is all about the real-time events transpired in Pakistan.
