Mehwish Hayat is a leading Pakistani film actress who is known for her films like Load Wedding, Punjab Nahi Jaungi and Actor in Law. She was honoured by the Government of Pakistan with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2019.
She made announcement on her social media, marking the accomplishment as yet another feather to her cap.
"I envision a day when girls will get their due rights in Pakistan. Help me achieve this cause by joining hands to empower our girls. I am able to face the world with confidence because of the opportunities afforded to me while growing up. It is important that all parents give the same to their children."
