VJ turned actress Madiha Imam is all set to enter Bollywood. She will share screen space with Manisha Koirala in upcoming film Dear Maya.
Despite the ban on Pakistani artists, it seems as though Bollywood projects are finding a way to include Pakistanis. Sridevi, Sajal Ali and Adnan Siddiqui will be seen together in Mom while Saba Qamar will be appearing alongside Irrfan Khan in Hindi Medium. We saw Farhan Saeed lending his vocals for Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s Half Girlfriend and Atif Aslam has sung in the aforementioned film featuring Qamar and Khan.

Another Pak-India collaboration in the pipeline is actress Madiha Imam’s Bollywood debut. Imam has been in the limelight due to her stellar performance in TV plays like the recently concluded Dhani which aired on Geo TV. The film, titled Dear Maya will see Imam performing alongside Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala, who is making a comeback to the big screen after many years.
There is no official release date announced yet but we can expect to see the trailer released today. The plot of the film is set in Shimla and revolves around the life of a woman who has not set foot outside her home in almost 20 years. Sadly, this is where the ban on Pakistan strikes. Despite being one of the main characters in the film, Imam will not be travelling to India to promote her film.
