Boy, what a gala! you have somehow slept through the ‘camp’ deluge the west has just wrapped another successful Met Gala and something tells us the year 2019 will be bookmarked for brilliance. Be it the star-studded pink carpet or the glam quotient that the celebs brought to it, the first Monday of May was LIT. Like that wasn’t enough our desi girls, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Deepika Padukone brought the house down with their sartorial choices. While Priyanka was kind of unrecognisable at the outset, she slowly bowled us over with her fearless, experimental and bold outlook towards dressing for the function.

She wore an outfit from Dior haute couture and teamed it with Chopard Jewels. On the other hand, Deepika Padukone kept it very different from what she did last year. The actress wore a Zac Posen gown that was made of lurex jacquard. The jewels were from Lorraine Schwartz. While Priyanka was all OTT and edgy, Deepika kept it simpler and prettier. But hey, the lights have shifted, the event has wrapped and now it’s time to PARTAYYY! Which is exactly what PeeCee is in the mood of. The diva took to Instagram to share pictures from the after-party and she is sparkling in another Dior ensemble.
Of course, Nick complemented her with his black suit and charm and the duo looked dapper as they stepped out. But that’s not even the best part. Thing is, both the B-town beauties are clinking glasses with their squad which includes Natasha Poonawala and Anaita Shroff Adjania. Priyanka even has an interesting caption to it which reads, “Charlie and the Indian angels end the night .. ❤️ #metgala2019.” Know what we mean?
Now, while that is that, fans are fixated about something totally else. No better way to say this, but comments on PeeCee’s post is filled with curious cats who think Deepika is pregnant because she apparently has a baby bump (????!!!) defying the curves of her yellow dress.
Well, maybe she ate and binged a little after the event guys! Is that such a wild theory? Don’t think so. On the work front, is currently shooting for Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak which is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. Chhapaak also stars Vikrant Massey as Deepika’s love interest in the film. He plays the role of a social activist and Laxmi’s boyfriend Alok Dixit. On the other hand, Priyanka will soon be seen in The Sky is Pink alongside Farhan Akhtar. The cast and crew recently wrapped up the shooting for the Shonali Bose directorial which also features Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf. Stay tuned to BL for more updates and scoops.
