Moneeza Hashmi, General Manager International Relations, HUM Network Ltd has been unanimously re-elected president of the Commonwealth Broadcasters Association (CBA) for an unprecedented third term during the Association’s annual conference. Media practitioner and Group Managing Director of RJR Communications, Mr. Gary Allen has been elected vice president of CBA along with Mr. KVL Narayan Rao, executive vice chairperson, New Delhi Television.
Moneeza Hashmi is the first Pakistani and first ever woman president of CBA and has a long association with the electronic media landscape of the country. Ms Hashmi is working as a consultant for HUM TV and is in charge of the Network’s International Affairs Division.
She has participated in national and international media forums where she has represented Pakistan and HUM Network repeatedly. In recognition of her services and professional expertise in the electronic media, she was awarded the President of Pakistan’s Pride of Performance medal in 2002.
The Commonwealth Broadcasting Association is the world’s largest association of public broadcasters, providing a leading forum for knowledge exchange, and support members in the changing digital media landscape. It is truly a proud moment for both Pakistan and HUM Network.
