Nida Azwer Behind the SceneFollowing the brand’s showcase  of ‘The Hyderabad Collection’ at an exclusive couture soiree in Lahore, the Nida Azwer atelier returns to Fashion Pakistan Week to showcase their prêt and luxury prêt collection titled “The Arabesque Collection” on 19th February at the 6th iteration of the event in Karachi.

Fashin Designer Nida Azwar ProfileFor this collection, designer Nida Azwer draws inspiration from Arabesque, a unique form of Islamic artistic decoration. It comprises of rhythmic linear patterns of intertwining lines, patterns and other elements. Based in a pure colour palette consisting of whites, golds and silvers the collection features the label’s signature cuts with varied hemlines. Individual creations in this collection have been treated with prints and embroidery, emboss and foil printing, pleating and cut-work creating layers and textures that reflect a contemporary look. Expect silhouettes that are airy and flowy in fabrics such as pure silks, cotton nets, voile, chiffon and organza.

Pakistani Fashion Designer Nida AzwerSpeaking about her collection for Fashion Pakistan Week, Nida Azwer said, “I have always had a passion for reviving ancient design techniques and artistry through my collections. In this vein, my latest collection pays homage to the traditional Islamic art of Arabesque. This is an endeavour to revive the age old handicraft and art form again in a more modern reimagining but without fundamentally altering the craft itself.”
