FMH College of Medicine and Dentistry held its 4th convocation on 25th March, 2013 at Aiwan-e-Iqbal, Lahore amid a high profile ceremony attended by hundreds of guest and dignitaries.
The chief guest for the occasion, University of Health Sciences Vice Chancellor Major General Retired Prof. Dr. M. Aslam praised the graduates for their remarkable achievements. He was joined by the Guest of Honor, Lahore University of Management Sciences Professor who is also the Chief of Party LUMS Institutional Strengthening Program as well as a Member of the Chief Minister’s Task force on Free Education, Mr. Zafar Iqbal Qureshi.
Speaking on the convocation FMS-NUR Central Executive Committee Chairperson, Mrs. Shahima Rehman said: “Today we honor and present to the world our finest graduates. Tomorrow, you will make our world a better place and make us proud. We have made you into agents of change and created in you a thirst for leadership and eminence in your respective fields.
Now you are ready to be Doctors, Dentists, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals. We expect you to carry our mission forward with a great zeal, professionalism, dignity and honor. Also In the true spirit of our institution we have inculcated in you a sense of service, service to the nation, to our people, to the thousands who are suffering in our land. You are the healers and a source of happiness for all mankind.”
FMH College of Medicine and Dentistry Principal Professor Dr. Humayun Maqsood also addressed the graduates and highlighted the quality of academic programs and research activity at the college. Hospital Board of Management Chairman Mr. Tariq Rehman and FMH Hospital Director Prof. Dr Arif Nawaz were also present on the occasion as well heads of departments and eminent faculty.
