Friendship is important because it lasts forever and without friendship person will be lonely. Friendship means you share problems; secrets and most importantly share happiness selflessly. Why friendship is so important is majorly because true friends only help in improving our lives. A friend is someone who is not related to us through birth, marriage or is not bound to stay with us forever. Friends can become by choice and relatives can’t be. This is why they hold more importance near us.
Friendship can be such that friends are casual ones, best friends, realist, motivators or just mentors seen as good role models. Whichever category your friend falls in, if you consider that friend important there can be many distinctive reasons for their utter importance.
Friendship is important because those friends can be a foundation of respect, self-esteem, love, affection and a memory for good times. In times of depression and misery, true friends offer hope and help without any return. Friendship is also necessary because it inculcates the attributes of honesty, faithfulness, loyalty, develops tolerance for other religions if they are different between friends, quality of being good listeners, having common habits or ideas, and sometimes to some extent age group and intelligence as well matters. These attributes must be practiced or just kept in mind to make additional friends. Also, these qualities can improve the on-going friendship.
Friends are not just important for single people, even married couples require true friends. Real friendship is vital throughout your life. Couples need to build this relationship of friendship first because one individual appreciates and encourages the other in all major steps of life and would never get jealous on the other individual’s success. Therefore, even happy married couples need to be friends first and then develop the relation of husband and wife in which one dominates the other.
For children friends are important because it often happens that they are unable to deal with peer pressure and bullying around of elderly children. Children find friends important because sometimes they feel intimidated by the environment in which they are living. Therefore, to acknowledge that they are not all alone and they are not the only ones facing problems of the harsh world, children need friends the most. Children need someone to share their problems most of the times because often they feel that they cannot feel close to the elders or they won’t be able to explain their problems to them.
