IMGC Global Entertainment (Pvt) Ltd group – part of International Multi Group of Companies (IMGC) was first established in 1985. In the last 3 years it has quickly become the leading importer of Indian movies with result oriented and continuous progress. During last year alone IMGC Global Entertainment (Pvt) Ltd imported 22 Indian movies – a high number even for a giant like IMGC. It constitutes an overall import percentage of 55% and 65% of total collection in Pakistan.
IMGC’s Chairman Sheikh Amjad Rashid will be visiting India on 7th January, 2013 in a bid to ensure mutual cooperation on both sides of the border. The company has taken massive strides in improving cross-border business relations especially as they pertain to the entertainment industry.
With blockbuster releases like EK MAI AUR EK THU, AGNEEPATH, HOUSEFUL2, COCKTAIL, STUDENT OF THE YEAR,BARFI, ROWDY RATHORE, JAB THAK HAI JAN and DABANG2, IMGC Global is now the largest imported of Indian films in Pakistan at the moment. Only 2 successful movies TALASH and BOL BACHAN have been released by other distributors.
IMGC group placed its acknowledgement and gratitude for the cooperation extended from High Commission office in facilitating visas to their team and associates. Pakistan High Commission New Delhi was also equally cooperative in extending visas facilities to IMGC’s counter parts for their visit to Pakistan and for mutual business proposal discussion.
To consolidate their progress, the IMGC group has planned to extend business activities of imports and exports, and not only of movies but music, TV programs, joint productions and cooperation. Their fulltime media consultant, Ms. Ammara Hikmat of Encyclomedia PR, was also acknowledged as a key member. Currently representing the likes of such celebrities and artists as Ali Zafar she has been frequently visiting India by attending various movies and TV media functions to improve cross-border cooperation. Ms. Hikmat will be accompanying Chairman Sh. Amjad Rashid to India for the visit which may kick-start a phase of mutual cooperation between India and Pakistan.
