FOUR BNU Students Receive Mausummery Scholarships
As part of its 5 year strategic partnership program, Mausummery representatives today met the 4 ‘Mausummery Scholarship’ recipients nominated by the Beaconhouse National University Committee.
Mansoor Nawaz, Chief Operating Officer, spent time with the group of students and thanked the University for the opportunity to contribute to their academic endeavors. Mrs. Salima Hashmi, Dean,School of Visual Arts and Design and Kiran Khan, Associate Professor, Head of the Department, Textile Design, SVAD, were present as part of the meeting with the students.
The names of the Scholarship recipients are:
- ZafrayabFarooq Year 2 – 4th Semester
- Anis Noor Year 2 – 4th Semester
- Mehreen Zahid Year 4 – 8th Semester
- NoorulainHaider Year 4 – 8th Semester
Mansoor Nawaz strongly felt the need to create a sustainable CSR program nurturing the indigenous talent of Pakistan to position Pakistan as the ‘lawn hub’ for the region. Pakistan’s competitive advantage lies in world class quality of cotton and our aesthetic design standards.
“Mausummery Textiles will continue to invest in building the skill sets of the students of Textile and Fashion Design Department at SVAD, BNU. We hope to add value with BNU over the 5 year commitment!
Speaking at the occasion, Dean SVAD, Prof. Salima Hashmi thanked the management of Mausummery for supporting the deserving students of the Department of Textiles and for contributing to the interaction between industry and academia.
