5 very creative fashion designers exhibited their latest collections at The Designers Multibrand Store on May 5th, 2012 including Yahsir Waheed, Sania Maskatiya, Nida Ali, Warda Saleem, and Umsha by Uzma Babar.
“Our aim is to give a better buying power to the customer. Taking a designer on board new or established, our aim is to bring the latest collection to our clients, right off-the-ramp from the most recent fashion shows all under one roof”.
Stated Asad Tareen CEO of The Designers Multi Brand Store., “the launch will include the media which will bring awareness to new designers as well as new collections”.
The 5 designers that will be presenting at the exhibition will include:

Yahsir Waheed has been an influential part of the fashion world as one of the younger founders of the Pakistani fashion industry. He has been involved in the fashion and garment industry since 1985. His latest venture at The Designers Multi Brand Store will be showcasing his latest collection, 
“I will be exhibiting my organic ajrak collection which was showcased at PFDC Fashion week, speaking about his work with The Designers Multi Brand Store.
The Lahore-based designer, will be bringing loose tapered pants, double breast jackets, and casual baggy shirts made of cotton, linen, and ajrak to the exhibition.
Sania Maskatiya has become world renowned in the fashion industry for her signature aesthetic that brings a balance between elegance, comfort and practicality. Her most recent endeavor is to launch a variety of collections at The Designers Multi Brand Store in Karachi. Her most recent prêt-à-porter womenswear collection titled Uraan which was showcased at the most recent PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week recently held in Lahore.
‘Uraan’ based on the concept of flight and movement in nature best depicted by the Helen Keller quote “One can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar”. The collection focuses on summery hues such as beige, turquoise, gold, firozi, lime and off white with fabrics such as chamose silks, chiffon and cotton net.
She will be bringing a wide variety of stock from her flagship store from pret wear to semi-formal to . The Designers Multi Brand Store.
Wardha Saleem is the latest designer who will be exhibiting at the multi-designer even.
Her launch at The Designers Multi Brand Store is an extension from the collection showcased at Fashion Pakistan Week (FPW) with the same fun colors and motifs titled Simply Pret. “The pieces that we have developed from that collection will be presented there, but not the entire line. The time was so short so we were unable to launch a full collection. We aim to have the same stock in all of the stores that we provide for.”
The outfits carry fresh and bright colors such as block prints something that everyone would want to wear in this hot season. This will be the second launch for Wardha at The Designers Multi Brand Store. Her first launch was a year back, “we are stocking with them constantly with the exhibition of a new collection”,speaking about The Designers Multi Brand Store. “The line is divided into 2, luxury pret and pret. Pure pret will be launched on may 5th”
The clothes are very fun and light perfect for summer. The prints that we will be using will be exclusive for The Designers Multi Brand Store, we have added fun embroidery to the mix.

Nida Ali is a fresh faced designer with an eye for cuts and chic embellishments. She has been stocking her luxury prêt and prêt line at The Designers Multi Brand Store since August 2011 with the proper launch on May 5th.
“This luxury pret line titled Metal Love will be focusing on cuts and silhouettes, block prints and motifs in circular form. Each outfit contains 2-3 colors. The color palette will focus on beige, brown and chocolate brown as well as sea green, ices blue which will carry a gradient from lighter neutrals to bright colors”. states Nida ali, “metal love isn’t only focusing on metal material but using studs, stones and metallic colors and fabrics, the main focus on fabric techniques.”
On working with The Designers Multi Brand Store she states, “I love working with Asad Tareen, he is very cooperative and he is always ready to listen to any complaints or discussion. He will always come up with some advice to make my brand better more prominent. He has helped me in the previous times and he has always told me that my work is good as well as my price range. He has always promoted my everywhere whenever I have needed it.
Umsha by Uzma Babar is the newest designer which will be the first ever mainstream launch of the brand. The craftsmanship and creativity behind Umsha is Uzma Babar. With a background in Medicine, she always wanted to be a doctor then after teaching she felt a passion for fashion designing that she needed to showcase to the public. “I love fashion, it doesn’t feel like work to me even when I have been in the studio all day.”
Her Spring/Summer collection titled “Paiwand” brings semi-formal women’s wear with her signature motif and embellishments using net fabrics, block printing, on pure chiffon and pure crep fabrics. The detailing on each outfit has individual pieces of paiwand stiched together bringing you a long-lasting outfit.
Speaking about her first launch at The Designers Multi Brand Store, “we are looking forward to housing our semi-formal collection at The Designers Multi Brand Store since it will be a big launch for the brand.”
Umsha by Uzma Babar brings a collection with couture pieces with traditional work patterns with patchwork embellishments and signature motifs with delicate stitching.
