The world’s best Freestyle motocross riders took off to the air again in front of huge crowd at Moin Khan Stadium on April 7, 2012 here in Karachi this was a part of the Red Bull X-Fighters six-stop 2012 world tour.
The Red Bull X-Fighters Jams is a series of exhibitions worldwide, giving the people around the globe an opportunity to witness the action that can be seen on the world tour, and that even live in their cities. The Red Bull X-Fighters concepts has grown to become the biggest and most respected freestyle motocross on the planet. Red Bull X-Fighters had its biggest event in Sri Lanka, Colombo at Galle Face Green on 2010. The biggest show in history took place in Colombo, Sri Lanka with more than 200.000 spectators on side to see the riders going crazy for a crowd that has never seen FMX before.
After rocking Srilanka,The Red Bull Management brought those tremendous atheltes to Pakistan, and for the first time ever Pakistan hosted its first Freestyle Motocross event. This most anticipated and awaited sport event was held on April 7th, at the Moin Khan Stadium infront of more than 15,000 people who were there to welcome the sport into Pakistan and to be a part of this history making event.
The event started at 5 PM local time with a brilliantly coreographed cultural show, in which true colors of Pakistani culture were presented. After the cultural show the real action begun as the riders kicked off their bikes in the loud cheers of the crowd.
In the event World’s 4 top most riders, including Martin Koren from California, USA, Nick De Wit from South Africa, Jimmy Verburgh from Begium and Nick Franklin from New Zealand, showcased the best of their tricks and took the breaths of the spectators away, as they were experiencing such action for the first time with their naked eyes. After one and a half hour of their spectacular performance Interviews with the riders were coordinated.
All the riders thank the crowd for their support, appreciated their love for the thrilling sport and expressed their deepest wishes to perform their thrilling stunts on Pakistani soil again.
Afterwards performance by Ali Azmat took the crowd on their feet. The most anticipated moment of the event was the minutes where fireworks were set off. The combination of those beautiful colored flames and twinkling sparks were indescribably stunning.
The event was broadcasted live on GEO SUPER and a large number of local media was also present to witness Pakistan’s first ever FREESTYLE MOTOCROSS. The production and management was handled by the team of Red Bull and PR by Catalyst PR and Marketing.
There was a post-event reception for the Red Bull athletes which was followed by a dinner, live DJ and performance by Ali Azmat. The post-event reception was attended by Celebrities, Actors and Foreign Journalists, who appreciated the enthusaism of Red Bull Management to promote the sport in Pakistan.
