How Moods Mess With Your Skin

Depression has an association with sleep patterns. Someone lacking sleep doesn’t and cannot have a healthy glowing skin. Do you know that depression causes wrinkles? This is because facial expressions play a significant role on your skin. In order to have healthy skin, you must treat your depression medically.

Anger:

Anger, they say,  is the mother of wrinkles and this is true. If you have a problem with anger, you will notice that your face and skin are always tense. If you are angry most of the time, your facial muscles are so tense that they create lines on your skin. You need to learn to manage your management and help yourself because anger is lethal for your skin as well as your mental health.

Stress:

Stress is the one of the biggest troubles in our society. Many of us don’t know how to deal with our emotions; which is one of the reasons that lead to stress. A number of factors can lead to stress such as pressure from job to personal relationships but the way you react towards a problem is what leads to actual stress.

When you get stressed, your body releases a hormone called cortisol  which affects all your organs by making them more fragile. You might have noticed that when you’re stressed you tend to eat more or less than usual which can destroy your body. All of this ultimately reflects on your skin by aging it. It is important to learn how to cope with stress by keeping a positive attitude towards everyday problems.

Embarrassment:

Embarrassment causes you to blush. It is a psychological effect that  moves from your brain to your skin, when neuropeptide receptors in skin receive messages.

Blushing should not be confused with flushing, which spreads over the body and not just the face. It shades a more intense red, and is usually a result of external factor like temperature or spicy food.

Smile:

If you want a healthy body and skin, you must smile. That smile is really the best medicine you can provide to yourself is a proven fact. Have a positive attitude and smile most of the time and you will notice that it will not only make you feel good with yourself but also make people love you. You will also have a fresh glowing skin in the most natural way ever.

Fear

When you are in danger or feel threatened, your brain releases adrenaline. Adrenaline is the ‘fight or flight’ chemical that puts your body on the alert. It makes your heart rate increased by rushing blood to the body’s big power muscles. Adrenaline also brings some of the blood from the skin and face by constricting blood vessels in the skin. The fear chemicals makes you look dull and pale, as though you’d just seen a ghost.

The way you deal with your emotions it has a great effect on your skin. Stress, fear, depression and other emotions can show up in your skin in a number of ways. Read the effects of mood on your skin and how you can deal with it.
