Mehwish Hayat Bashed by Pakistanis For Being “Bold” and It Is Absolutely Absurd!

You might be tired of reading headlines and articles revolving around how Pakistani actresses and models are bashed by the locals on either their dressing or on their poses with their male co-stars or literally for breathing. Female actors are never given respect they deserve, despite being amazing in their line of work.

However, they never stop trying either. They show it to the world that they are immune to the abusive, horrible comments made by the locals regarding them, only because they choose to represent themselves the way they want to.

Mehwish Hayat is one of the various Pakistani actresses who gets bullied on social media.

 

It was a pleasure to be invited to a reception at the British High Commission to celebrate the birthday of the Queen Elizabeth II and Head of our Commonwealth. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the life of most inspirational woman who has devoted her life to the service of her nation. It was also good to meet with the High Commissioner, His Excellency Mr Thomas Drew, The Deputy High Commissioner Ms Elin Burns and introduce them to the work that we are doing in reviving Pakistani Cinema and learn more about the way that they are building bridges between our two countries. We talked about how the role of arts and culture cannot be overlooked in such endeavours.
